“My favorite book as a young child was Charlotte’s Web. My mother read it to me, and I fell in love with Charlotte and the power of words to effectuate change. And I have been obsessed with literature, stories, and biographies about women (including female spiders) since then. In fact, I designed a new course focused on the feminist perspective in law. This March, I’m going to read (and re-read) some incredible written works about women, by women, and honoring women. And my children and I will re-read Charlotte’s Web because I love that ‘fierce, brutal, scheming, bloodthirsty’ and ‘clever’ character.”
