“APIDA Heritage Month is a time for us to recognize the unique diversity among the Asian communities and to celebrate our accomplishments. While Asian Americans have become a visible presence in the legal profession and are one of the fastest growing minority groups in law, we fall behind all other racial groups when it comes to attaining leadership roles within the legal profession. With the existence of the ‘bamboo ceiling’ and the ongoing and never-ending anti-Asian hate crimes, it is important that we educate and appreciate APIDA heritage and history. It is important to continue to raise and amplify Asian Pacific Islander Desi American voices in America. Let us be heard. Let us be acknowledged. Let us be known.”
