Celebrating APIDA Heritage Month 2022

Celebrating+APIDA+Heritage+Month+2022

“As the 2021–22 APALSA President, my goal was to celebrate our community and build support networks by intentionally collaborating with our Desi peers. This past academic year, we collaborated with our SALSA siblings and had conversations unpacking the model minority myth and anti-Blackness within our communities. We shared our alumni network and resources, and this month we will come together for our first ever APIDA Heritage Month Celebration. We will honor four of our alumni at this event, showcase our cultures through Polynesian and Bollywood dance, and offer a raffle giveaway to highlight Asian-owned businesses.”
