John Beling has been appointed commissioner of Vermont’s Department of Environmental Conservation and will lead 300 employees working to promote clean air, clean water, and healthy communities in the state.
Michael E. Jones has joined Hannum Feretic Prendergast & Merlino, where he handles general liability matters including premises liability, construction site accidents, motor vehicle accidents, and workplace accidents.
Mary Lucere has joined Horing Weilikson Rosen & Digrugilliers, focusing her practice on real estate, landlord tenant law, and civil litigation.

Raymond A. Tierney was elected Suffolk County District Attorney. He has served as a prosecutor for more than 27 years at both the state and federal levels.

After serving as managing partner of DLA Piper’s New York office for close to nine years, Richard Hans is taking on a new challenge as managing partner of vertical operations for the firm’s disputes vertical. Along with the firm’s vice chair, he will also oversee the operations of the litigation, regulatory, IPT, and employment practice groups.
John McCarroll is now of counsel at Edwards, Maxson Mago and Macaulay, focusing his practice on corporate law.
Roberto Viceconte has a new position as partner, private client services at Eisner Amper.
Brian Whiteman has joined Lewis Brisbois as a partner and a member of the professional liability practice.

Max Bartell will clerk for Hon. Joan Azrack, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of New York. Currently, he is completing a two-year clerkship with U.S. Magistrate Judge Stephen Locke (EDNY) after working for a year at Fried Frank.
Elisabeth Constantino has rejoined Jackson Lewis as a knowledge management attorney for the firm’s ERISA compliance litigation practice group. She is based in the firm’s New Orleans office.
Sean Kelly has joined Kaplan Hecker & Fink as an associate. He focuses his practice on white-collar and regulatory enforcement, including internal investigations and individual representations.
