On Nov. 17th, the Hon. J. Paul Oetken,  Southern District of New York, appointed Professor Jennifer Baum, Director of the Child Advocacy Clinic, and Sarah Phillips, from the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, as attorneys for two minor children in Lomanto v. Agbelusi, 22-CV-7349 (SDNY), a case brought under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. Prof. Baum and Ms. Phillips will present the children’s positions to the Court and ensure their rights are protected under the Convention.
