The award recognizes Fitzpatrick’s many years of service and work with the London Insurance Market and the Aviation Insurance Market.

Selected out of almost 5000 entries, a poem by Roberta Beary earned a joint first prize in the Bridport Prize competition. The winning submission focuses on four generations of women from the same family. Beary’s fourth collection of poetry, Carousel, is forthcoming from Snapshot Press, UK.

Past St. John’s Law Alumni Association President Andrea Alonso announced that the partners, attorneys, and staff of O’Connor O’Connor Hintz & Deveney have joined Morris Duffy Alonso Faley & Pitcoff. Daniel P. Deegan
, a Forchelli Deegan Terrana partner who heads the firm’s industrial development agency, municipal incentives, and government relations practices, was featured in the inaugural edition of Long Island Business News’ Most Powerful Influencers of 2022.

James G. Bartolotto retired from the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve after 33 years as a judge advocate on active duty and in the reserves, retiring with the rank of Colonel. Colonel Bartolotto still serves as a senior trial counsel with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Constitutional & Specialized Tort Litigation Section, Torts Branch, Civil Division, where he has worked since 2002.

The New York State Bar Association’s Criminal Justice Section named Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman partner Richard Donoghue the 2022 Outstanding Prosecutor. A former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, Donoghue also served as acting U.S. Deputy Attorney General from December 2020 to January 2021.

Dorothea Ioannou is CEO of the American P&I Club. She is the first woman appointed to lead one of the International P&I Group clubs which, collectively, insure 90% of the worlds ocean-going cargo and passenger ships.

For the fourth consecutive year, Law360 has named Adam Hakki a Banking MVP. Hakki, a global managing partner and global head of litigation at Shearman & Sterling, was also recognized by Lawdragon in its inaugural 500 Leading Litigators in America guide.

John Ho, co-chair of Cozen O’Connor’s OSHA-workplace safety practice, was appointed management vice-chair of the American Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in the Legal Profession Committee. He was also appointed to the advisory board of Thomson Reuters Practical Law Labor & Employment Service.

Sean Kelly received the Theodore A. Atlas Foundation’s Admiral Award. The community service organization provides financial and emotional support to individuals and organizations in need, and focuses particularly on the needs of children.

The New York Law Journal recognized Megan Ryan as a distinguished leader. Ryan, who is Chief Legal Officer at Nassau Health Care Corp., also serves as a Seton Hall University advisory board member.
