Professor Miriam Cherry has had a longstanding collaboration with the United Nation’s International Labour Office in Geneva, Switzerland. In 2018, she was a visiting researcher, working on a paper about digital platforms and cross-border conflicts of law. This past spring and summer, Professor Cherry consulted with the ILO on a proposed standard for work in the gig economy. Along with a sociologist from Washington University in St. Louis, she is writing an ILO report on the status of gig workers in the United States.
