Professor Robin Boyle has published her second book, this time on Teaching Contract Drafting. The publisher is Edward Elgar, based in the United Kingdom. Teaching Contract Drafting is a comprehensive guide covering every stage of organizing and teaching a course in contract drafting. It covers the core concepts of contract building blocks. The book includes experiential learning suggestions.
Professor Boyle has been teaching contract drafting for two decades. Teaching Contract Drafting draws upon her classroom experience. Her book also reflects practice experience from when she worked as a transactional attorney in a large Wall Street firm, clerked for a Bankruptcy judge in the S.D.N.Y., and practiced bankruptcy in a large mid-town firm. She has gained further knowledge of contract drafting more recently by providing pro bono assistance for non-profit organizations.
Professor Boyle will be presenting on October 6th at Emory Law School’s Biennial Conference on the Teaching of Transactional Law and Skills. She is scheduled to present for one-hour on the topic of pedagogical techniques, a chapter from her book.
Professor Boyle’s first book, Becoming a Legal Writer: A Workbook with Explanations to Develop Objective Legal Analysis and Writing Skills, with Christine Coughlin & Sandy Patrick, was published in 2019 by Carolina Academic Press.
