Professors Christine Lazaro and Elissa Germaine hosted two law students at the Public Investors Advocate Bar Association (PIABA) Annual Meeting in Colorado Springs during the week of October 23rd, as part of the Securities Arbitration Conference Fellowship. 3L Mackenzie Connick and 2L Daniella Sesto had the opportunity to learn from and network with experienced securities lawyers, mediators, and regulators throughout the week.
As part of the meeting, on October 25th, Professor Lazaro presented on a panel, The Certified Financial Planner: Case Implications When Parties or Witnesses Have CFP Certification or Other Investment Credentials, along with securities lawyers and financial experts. Professor Germaine presented on a panel, The Ethics of Artificial Intelligence for Lawyers, and authored the written materials for the panel.
