Professor Robin Boyle and her co-author, Laura P. Graham (Wake Forest) have published Persuasive Advocacy in Action: A Workbook for Law Students. The book is designed to help students hone their skills in persuasive legal writing and oral advocacy. Through a blend of focused explanations and interactive exercises, students will be exposed to strategies for writing shorter persuasive documents as well as trial and appellate briefs. Key aspects of effective oral argument are provided. The publisher is Carolina Academic Press.
Professor Boyle is also the co-author of an objective writing workbook, Becoming a Legal Writer: A Workbook with Explanations to Develop Objective Legal Analysis and Writing Skills, with Christine Coughlin (Wake Forest) and Sandy Patrick (Lewis & Clark). The second edition of Becoming a Legal Writer will be published by Carolina this Spring.
