Professor Robin Boyle Laisure published a fictional short story, “Road Trip Through Georgia,” in an online literary magazine – Half and One. Professor Boyle has embarked upon a two-year low-residency program for a Master in Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Adelphi University. She submitted this piece as a homework assignment. Last August, Professor Boyle was fully immersed in a one-week residence at the Center for Fiction in downtown Brooklyn and will resume another week of residency this January. Professor Boyle finds engaging with the art and craft of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry useful in teaching legal writing and scholarly writing.
