Professor Cheryl Wade was invited to contribute a chapter entitled, Race and the American Corporation: The Rhetoric of Anti-Racism and Diversity in the Twenty-First Century, for the Oxford University Press Handbook on Corporate Law (edited by Devon Carbado, Emily Houh, and Khiara Bridges). The article is now in print. Professor Wade was also invited to contribute a chapter entitled, Formalizing Compliance to Reduce Board Exposure to Civil and Criminal Liability, which is published in Law of Fraternities and Sororities (Carolina University Press, 2024, edited by Gregory Parks).
Professor Wade was invited to be one of ten Centennial Speakers to deliver a keynote lecture for the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law’s Centennial celebration, and will be publishing an article in the Centennial Series law review papers for the Pacific Law Journal.
Professor Wade was invited to be the keynote speaker at the first fall conference at Widener University Commonwealth Law School entitled, “A Modern Examination of the Expansive Existence of Systemic Racism.”
Professor Wade presented her book, Predatory Lending and the Destruction of the African American Dream (Cambridge University Press, 2020) at Legal Aid Society Black History Month celebration. She will present a paper, Black Americans and Crypto Investment, at the “Investor Protection in the Age of Crypto, AI and Beyond Summit” at Santa Clara University School of Law.
