Professor Robin Boyle-Laisure was interviewed for the podcast, “A Little Bit Culty” by hosts Sarah Edmondson and Anthony “Nippy” Ames. The interview focused on Prof Boyle’s forthcoming book, Taken No More: Protect Your Children Against Traffickers and Cults (Bloomsbury 2025). 

In the book and in the podcast, the commonalities of human trafficking and cults are presented. The podcast hosts were former members of NXIVM, and their experiences were documented in Edmondson’s book, Scarred. They discuss the witnesses’ testimony during the  trial of Keith Raniere, leader of the NXIVM cult, in the Eastern District of New York, and broader topics of how cult leaders and traffickers manipulate their victims.

Professor Boyle’s book is expected to be published in November in hardcover, audio, and e-book formats. It is currently advertised on the websites of Bloomsbury, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble.

The interview was divided into Parts 1 and 2. Part 1 dropped on August 18, 2025; Part 2 will drop on August 21, 2025.
