Professor Ashley B. Armstrong was invited to contribute to The SAGE Encyclopedia of Refugee Studies, edited by members of the Critical Refugee Studies Collective. This landmark two-volume set, published in September, is designed to be “a vital and comprehensive resource for understanding the historical, political, and cultural dimensions of displacement.”
Professor Armstrong’s entry focuses on the European Union’s Dublin Regulation, examining its historical context, system of allocating state responsibility for protection seekers, and criticisms related to responsibility-sharing and human rights concerns.
With more than 250 authoritative articles, The SAGE Encyclopedia of Refugee Studies is designed to serve scholars, educators, policymakers, community-based organizations, and refugees.
