On October 8th, Professor Michael Simons was a featured presenter at a symposium titled Impact, Excellence, Resilience: Contemporary Views on Pioneering Legal Education Scholarship (pdf).
Jointly sponsored by UC Irvine School of Law and New York Law School, the symposium invited contemporary scholars to reflect on some of the most critical scholarship that has appeared in the Journal of Legal Education.
Using the 2008 financial crisis as a starting point, Professor Simons explored how market forces have shaped legal education reform. His article, Rethinking Hard Times in Legal Education: Market Forces and Legal Education Reform, will appear in a forthcoming issue of the Journal of Legal Education.
