Professor Kate Klonick published Ban Cookie Banners: A Case Study in Tech Regulation in the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology. The paper is a cri de cœur to end this worse-than-useless regulatory compliance regime and let something that actually protects users’ privacy take its place.
This fall Professor Klonick was named a Senior Editor at Lawfare, where she is overseeing law, technology, and geopolitics coverage. She appears regularly on Lawfare‘s podcasts Rational Security, Lawfare Live, and Scaling Laws, discussing these topics.
Outside Lawfare, she was recently quoted in the Financial Times (paywall) discussing the transatlantic war on digital speech and presented her work on Big Speech to the McGill Law Faculty.
