Professor Ashley B. Armstrong has been selected for three national leadership roles in recognition of her scholarship, service, and leadership within the legal writing community.
Professor Armstrong has been invited to co-chair the 11th Biennial Applied Legal Storytelling Conference, which will be held at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in July 2027. This national conference brings together legal scholars, educators, and practitioners to explore the theory and practice of applied legal storytelling.
Professor Armstrong also has been appointed to two leadership roles with the national Legal Writing Institute (LWI). She will chair LWI’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and co-chair the organization’s New Teacher Training Bootcamp Planning Committee for the 2026–2028 term. Armstrong has been involved in both committees previously, including writing and presenting on DEI best practices in legal writing education, and helping plan the inaugural Bootcamp in 2023.
